So many cameras in London…

20 09 2008

I remember flipping through a magazine and I saw this article about London, if I am not mistaken, being the most surveillance place in the world. They have video cameras everywhere! I can imagine going there and everywhere I turn there is this security camera right in my face. Haha!

Seriously. Why do you need so many camera’s? So that you know where every single person is at at every point of the day. What you did last Tuesday? Where and what you ate last Tuesday? In fact, you don’t even need to integrate suspects to a crime. You can just pop in the tape grab some popcorn and beer and watch until you fall asleep, which will be in about 2 minutes. You don’t even need to get drunk. You’ll just knock out *snaps fingers* just like that. So if you have difficulty sleeping you know what to put on.

Why do you need to watch everyone and every time of the day? Either than the fact to look out for suspicious activity. What if you have someone new on the job, watching all the cameras? What if that bloke doesn’t know what suspicious activity is? You will have reports every ten-minutes. He’ll run into his supervisor’s office screaming “SIr! Something bad happened” “WHAT IS IT, BOY?” ” A boy pushed a girl down”.

Where do you get the money to pay for so many cameras? Does every government have this fund called ‘SCF’, security-camera fund? That is where your money going to people.

Maybe they have some really funny and random reason.
