New Moon review

I am going to be as sincerely honest as I possibly can beacuse if you have ben reading previous entries….I hate the twilight saga.

however I want to be an honest and fair critic.

I never read the book. I never want to read the book. So many people have told me to read the book way before the movie came out and I only watch the Twilight saga movies when there are birthdays. For twilight it was a friends birthday and i promised we could do anything she wanted, my treat and today I watched new moon because its my sisters birthday.

If you read my review on twilight….which I think I did…dont bother reading this one because I felt the same about both movies.

But here is my new moon review anyways.

New moon surprised me…as did twilight. But this surprise can not be categorised as a good or bad surprise because I am really not 100% sure. I knew the twilight saga was extremely love story-ish and tried to set my mind towards that but I just could not. And that is how the movie started. Extremely love story-ish. As the movie progressed and the story played out I really began to hate the movie. No offence to anyone and I think I will need to red the book for loads of clarrification. Charectors were not fully developed and a lot of charectors could have been developed further. This was the same problem for the first movie as well. I was not fully convinced about many main and supporting roles.

The role which I was most impressed with was Bella and how Kristen Stewart captured her. I believe that her relationship between Jacob and Edward could have been played stronger but I do not fully play the girl. I do hate that Belle shares my date of birth….excluding the year.  But I do not blame her. I believe her performance could be better… her energy although strong could have been stronger…although I have no complains about the running through the village and the vampire council scenes because they were well done by everyone involved in them.  Energy was high. Relationships well played.

Jacob, not only is unbelievably hot, but pretty good. I feels sorry for him though and that Taylor Lautner could not fully develop him well. His relationship with Bella was fully unclear and the way he played Jacob feels unreal. It is understandable that this is the fairy tale for youths but if a guy likes a girl…it should be felt through the movie and his actions. It does not matter if he is a werewolf.

Sigh. Edward sucked too. Or may be he had a lot on his mind.

If you haven’t watch the video please do. IM NOT TELLING YOU TO. I am advising you to. Because what I have to say is only a continuation.

I have learnt in Geography class that there is a poverty cycle and the only way out of the poverty cycle is education.(my geography teacher should be happy because I remember this way after the examinations). The poverty cycle is simple and basic. Farmer A has 6 kids and is too poor to send them all to school. This is because of a few reasons. He needs to feed the family. He needs the workers for his farm and since outside labor is expensive he uses his kids. His kids do not receive an education and too marry or become poor farmers and the cycle repeats itself. This happens for generations and the farmers have a large family to help with the farms.

The cycle continues through out generations. Now if one of farmer A’s kids went to school the poverty cycle for them would be broken. Why’? Cause we go to school then enter a collage and then get a degree and work but even if they dont get a degree and dont go to collage, they learn to read and write in school which can help them find jobs apart from farming. They get better pay and live better live.

I’m glad I have an education. I am glad I took that dramatic examination they call the O levels.

Should Ms Singapore World 2009 represent Singapore?

Singapore crowned Miss Ris Low Ms Singapore World 2009. She can’t speak proper English. She is pretty yeah but she just was convicted of credit card fraud.

I personally hate these shows. Pretty girls wishing for WORLD PEACE.

To future pageant  contestants, DON”T SAY YOU WANT WORLD PEACE.  Make it interesting! Say you want world destruction. THEN I MIGHT JUST WATCH!

Sorry about Ris Low. I don’t like her. If I knew her personally, I still wouldn’t like her. Give her a chance people say, let her represent Singapore. NO WAY! NOT OVER MY GRADUATION DAY ARE WE LETTING HER REPRESENT US. People say, but we are giving ex-convicts a second chance. Oh I don’t mind she being an ex-convict. I am not happy that I have to strain my ears to understand what she is trying to say. I don’t mind if we get a male ex-convict in a dress representing us, as along as he speaks proper English.

I am sorry but Singapore is a modern trading hub. A first class county. I swear I am Singaporean and when I hear that girl talk, I wonder if Singapore decided to change the education standards and we decreased our development so bad we all did not go to school.

Sorry dear, but I don’t like you. I first heard you on the radio and I said, did we really pick this girl? Or did April fools come late again.

If you haven’t heard her speak GO TO YOUTUBE. I am appalled at her speech. I can’t believe it.

Hey everyone,

I turned 16 yesterday. It’s okay. I don’t feel older. Should I?

I am just really happy that I get to watch I love up, Beth Cooper now!

Ok. Not a very mature post so far.

I don’t know. Life has been complicated right now. My O levels and everything. All I can offer is advice on the O levels. Hey, when you are a student is secondary 4, life gets extremely stressful.

Oh i have an idea. I think last week, I saw an article about our current senior minister. He became Prime minister about 40 years ago by one vote. This is what i hate. Drama. I am a drama student and all and would love to do theatre but the drama press and paparazzi put in the papers is more ….strange….ridiculas is the word. Listen to me for a second. This is one fantastic reason why I hate reading the papers.  Let’s use another example. Michael Jackson’s kids are said to not be biological and who’s kids they are, everyone wants to know. They don’t need that. Neither do we. Hey, if my previous PM and current SM won by one vote…well hey, who ever made that vote THANK YOU VERY MUCH! He did such a great job. I live in a modern first class city, thanks to him and his team. Now, this weeks paper said something about there being disagreement in our ruling party that happened long ago. Sigh! STOP IT. We are happy. We live in a great city.  MJ’s kids are happy. Greifing but happy. They lost a father, biological or not. It doesn’t matter.

The only reason why parazzi and press do this is because well, we the public want this drama. Could be a bit more sensitive please?

Geez….

MJ: How are his kids?

Sigh. I feel really sad for his kids. I honestly do. I live in Singapore right and ET is going on about a secret girl friend, drug stuff, the will came out and so many speculations about MJ is coming out.Now if I live here, half way across the world from where MJ will be buried and all this rumours floating around and I know about some of them, wouldn’t MJ’s kids know about them too?

I would think it is sad. Their dad just died.  Show some respect. If an average Joe died, not many would care. MJ was not average but show some respect please?

The king of Pop has died. I think it is a little too late to speculate.

A tribute to the King of Pop

Dear Mr. Jackson,

I am very sorry to hear the sad news. I hope you have lead a very fulfilling life, sir. I thought that you should know that just last year for Halloween, I dressed up as you.

I think you should be very honoured that some consider you the king of pop. There are many girls who have been given the title ‘Pop Princess’ but you were given the ultimate title in my opinion. King of Pop. I bet you are sitting right next to Elvis, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Did you know he did not live that long either? Kings only live their reign for a short time. Hmmm..

Anyways, when you were younger ( and black) you were so cool, such an inspiration to many. I was not a huge fan but as I grew up, I appreciated your music and talents more and I just loved the way you tried crazy stuff and your videos were really, truely amazing to me.

Sadly to say, my ‘pop hero’ did not last long, sir. You might have had a mental break down or something. I am not too sure but then my pop hero died. Not literally but from the inside out. Your music was still good and great but your image, your look, you changed. I dont know what was going through your mind sir, but I believe a lot of people lost MJ.

So sir, I hope before your life ended you found the MJ we lost. I hope you did.

27 May update.

Let us see. Well, I would like to apologise for not blogging about my usual thoughts. I have been busy from school, friends and life. I can’t be in so many places at once right?
Lastest in Singapore this afternoon: My classmates got news of the first H1N1 CONFIRMED case in Singapore. Nombor Uno! Now, we Singaporeans( and sooner or later one of us has to admit it) are very very….how do I put it? Paranoid? There is a slang word that would be much more appropreate I feel but firstly I am not confident of the spelling, two, who ever is not Singaporean might not have a good understanding of the word used.
We are rather paranoid.When the number of H1N1 cases in American increased we went crazy and went to orange alert. Now we are at yellow alert. According to the Ministry of Health we aren’t going back to orange alert until there is a wide spread of cases in Singapore. How many people is considered wide spread? I am just hoping I don’t come down with anything. ANYTHING. I have

Mas Selamat’s capture

WHAT CAVE HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING IN CHEYENNE???

This was the wake up call my good friend, shelle gave me yesterday when she figured out I didn’t know they caught Mas Selamat on the 1 of April however the reports came out this yesterday morning in local news. I am equally as shocked. According to the Straits times, Mas Selamat used an ‘improvised floation device’ to Swim across Singapore waters to Malaysia shores on the day he escaped through a toilet window. Also, this is the third time he has escaped from anywhere.When he is brought back to Singapore he will be sent back to Whitney Road Detention Centre which is way way different from the one he escaped from over a year ago. He was planning things for Singapore and that was the scary bit.

Although the Leader of the JI group might have been captured, I know that I can’t just walk around, my nose in the air and think everything is going to be okay. That is stupid. Now I might have been a cave all this while but I am so not stupid! Singaporeans or actually the people of the world can’t look at this situation lightly. We have to be alert and vigilant. The treat of terrorism is very real.

In fact, I dare to bet that on every world leaders desk there is this huge messy file labeled TERRORISM!

H1N1

This morning, I walked into school and there was this silence everywhere. I could only tell that fear surrounded the grounds. Was it fear of the H1N1 virus or our mid year examinations, I couldn’t tell at that moment. But upon arriving at my classroom, our mid year examinations were more important to us than the H1N1.

Even after moving from a yellow alert to an orange alert, students here are still not taking this H1N1 virus seriously. I’m just waiting for this to hit red alert and watch the panic in everyone’s eyes!

But honestly, we should take this seriously. This is another possible SARS out break and its right under our noses and someof us are not even caring. LOOK PEOPLE!!! WE ARE IN TROUBLE

Peace fighters are hypocrites

Sometimes people say they are peace fighters. Some would consider me one too. I tell you this. I am not a peace fighter.

No harsh reactions now, I love peace. I love world peace. But I am happy to say I am not a peace fighter. Why would I fight for peace? It doesn’t prove my point using violence to promote peace. I find it contradicting. Whoever says that they are a peace fighter is a hypocrite. I am not a peaced fighter. I am a peace creater. I am not contradicting anything at all. I am a peace creater. Cause I rather create peace than be contradicting and say I am a peace fighters.
