Dear World,
I was watching this video and I loved it. I love the concept of being unlimited in every way, especially when we all are pretty sure we will have at least 1 life. The video gave me some new perspective about the phrase “live life to the fullest” and taking up opportunities and chances we may be offered. Or at least, with the idea that it was not ‘if’ things were going to happen but more of ‘when’ would we make more effort to make things happen.
Hear me out. Sarah Kay has a very good idea, she writes her poems and stories in attempt to live all the various lives she would love to indulge herself in and by making full use of her imagination, I am sure she has been living all the lives she wanted to. However, what if we pushed it to the next level? By thinking ‘when’ you will do something and not ‘if’ you will do something, you place some priority on the event you wish to occur, like taking dancing lessons or going to Paris etc. The word “if” makes the possibility of anything ever occurring very… unknown? It means it is not a priority. It means you leave everything up to chance. Then you get nothing done really.
Sarah Kay may be just sharing her passion for writing or story telling but she emphasizes that we have the potential to do anything! We can live more than one life, so to speak. It is a matter of thinking ‘when’ and not ‘if’.
Something to think about, regarding 2012.
