Tragic death; Gay Hate Crime

Cute guy, sorry but you have to admit Larry is cute.

Is this what our world has become? If you want to be all religious about this, you are going to tell me that being Gay is a deadly sin and sends you straight to hell. I’m going to ask you ‘How do you know? You aren’t God! Did God tell you in a dream that homosextually is worse than any of the 7 deadly sins?’  I don’t think so.

People make up religious excuses to hide their fear of change.Actually, people make up excuses of any kind to hide all their fears.

If you ask me, I think killing someone is worse than being a homosextual. Scorning is so hurtful. The entire homosextual community knowns it. ( I won’t use the term gay here. It sounds informal and rude). Being bullied and scorned is very harsh but killing someone who is a homosextual, you are just asking for an up-roar among the homosextual community.

I call upon the homosextual community to be patient. Justice will come.

Everyone else, change your mindset on homosextuals. They are people, just like you and me.

 

Why I’m thinking of having a web show.

This has been on my mind for a long time. I was wondering what it would be like, having people watch me either being really random or making complete sense. I got the whole idea from watching how hilarious my life can be and Nickelodeon’s new tv show, i-carly.

Sometimes I think that maybe it would be a better way to express myself to the world or at least the online world. I’m not sure if I should. I’m on the verge of deciding. There is so much to worry about. What to talk about? What to wear? Who to feature in a show? What if people think I am a joke?

Alot of these questions I can overcome. I am a drama student/actress in training. I know most of the tricks behind threathe and film.It’s what to say and everything else which I have to worry about.

 

May be I should re think this.

The war students are in.

Early this week, I predicted that this new semster of school was going to be a battle field on which every student suffers upon and so far I am right.

Teachers are stressing student out and I am in no mood to do anything at the moment. I don’t like to do homework on weekends. If I must do homework, I’ll do it half on Saturday and half on Sunday, work gets done and I don’t stress myself out.

This on-going war between the education systems and students will never end. There is no possible way for students to win this war. It is like Danial and the giant, education systems are represented by Danial and the giant are the students. There are more students than the people working in the Education section. Size did not win the battle with Danial and the giant, same way that numbers will not win students the war. This war is based on power and nothing else.

Students are supressed by the education systems. Recently, the Straits Times, a local newspaper, featured an article and tittled it, Singapore: Tuition Nation. Education systems have become so tough that 9 out of 10 students in Singapore have tuition. The Ministry of Education have requested for teachers to not stress us out so much but it is difficult when the Nation papers, which are set by the Ministry get tougher as the years go by.

Laugh. It’s funny. The Ministry of Education (MOE) told teachersto give us a break when they themselves are making papers more difficult to the extent that if we were given a brake, we would fail the national exam and not get a fantastic education.

I know and understand that MOE has good intentions but sometimes, good intetions can affect people in a very negative way.

The difference between Jamie Lynn Spears and every other girl is….

Nothing. Nothing in this world makes Jamie Lynn Spears more special than other girls. So Stop treating her like she is a princess. She gave birth to a girl, Maddie Briann, on the 19th of June. She announced to the world she was pregnant last December(back then I wanted to slap her). She is a mummy and she is two years older than me. I would have thought Jamie was a smart girl and would have learned from her sister to be nothing like her. I guess I overestimated Jamie.

I’m not sure if I should still slap her or be happy for her. Jamie is 16. She got pregnant and had a baby. Don’t these things happen to lots of teenage girls? It is just a re-run of an old movie. Girl gets pregnant, she gets an abortion or puts the baby up for adoption or keeps it. What is the difference with Jamie? She wasn’t raped was she? There were no reports of rape. If the girl was raped, it would be a different story entirely.

Point is Jamie is not better than other girls that is it ‘okay’ for her to have a baby before marriage. She was a role model to many girls, including me. I felt she was going to be different from Brit. Guess this nonsense runs in the family. I have lost much respect for Jamie and publicising this only makes girls think that having a kid before marriage is a good thing when it is not.

I will not congradulate Jamie at the moment. I will only congratulate her when her kids make it to collage with out having to go through anything their cousins , Brit’s kids, went through so far. For Jamie to earn my respect and admirtion again is for her to be a better mum to her kids than Brit is to hers.

Only then say that Jamie is a good mother.

Hannah, Mylie and the Jonas Brothers, live on stage AND! in 3-D

Did you happen to catch hannah montana’s 3-D concert? Wasn’t it the bomb? It sure blew up my mind, and not in the good way.  I will, however tip my hat to the dancers and the band. (praise where praise is due).

Hannah and the Jones Brothers, performed below expected standard. ( When I talk about hannah, I’m talking about Mylie too.) Energy level fantastic. Sing horrid. Hannah sounded like she was screaming and Joe Jonas to me did not sing up to par. Nick didn’t do very well either. Sad waste of talent. The Jonas Brothers are actually very talented. Hannah brought them down that night and I feel that they were better in a recording studio.

Lyrics to each and every song was great tho. The song writter should get a raise.

Lessons we learn from fishes.

I am going to combine two post into one. This post is about fish teaching people life lessons. Sounds strange? Well, it is. When I was thinking about it, it made sense in a strange way.

Well, while we were at Tioman, Pahang Malaysia, we went snorkelling on our 2nd and 3rd day.

On tghe second day, we were snorkelling ‘out at sea’ which was organised from the hotel. The current was very strong and we held on to the ropes of the platform as so not to float away.  We watched the fishes struggle against the current. They never stopped once. They kept on pushing against the current. They never gave up.

We should be like the fishes. When life gets rough and difficult we should just continue pushing on. We will get where we want to go eventutally. We have to work hard and keep trying. Push ourselves beyond our limits.

On the 3rd day we went snorkelling at Marine Park. There were alot more fishes and the area was in away enclosed. The current wasn’t that strong. We saw all sorts of fishes swimming together and working as a community. Big fish, small fish, gray fish, colourful fish all living peacefully together.

That got me thinking. If fishes of different species can live peacefully together and show no signs of discrimination, why can’t humans? We had plenty of discrimination in the years. People are arrogant and think they are better than everyone else and guess what! The war in Iran or Iraq (can’t remember which one) against the Americans has occurred.

Lessons that fish need to teach us. No wonder they like school so much.

The most relaxing place on earth.

Man! I take a nice vacation for a couple of days and the next thing I know, no one is reading my blog!

For all those who have been wondering where I disappeared to the past couple of days, thank you for taking notice and if you were wondering where I ran off to, I was on the Island of Tioman in the Pahang state of Malaysia. I would now like to take this short moment to thank my wonderful parents for taking me there for a relaxing end of my June holidays.

I feel like I should give a review about the hotel we stayed in. Berjaya hotel, Tioman, Pahang Malaysia. Mum was telling us about the review she read that this hotel brought down the name of Berjaya. I think the guy who wrote it was either lost and got the wrong hotel or my mum read wrongly.

My review:

Berjaya, Tioman, Pahang , Malaysia is a beautiful and huge resort allocated along the beautiful shoreline of Tioman island. The most facilities over look the ocean and allow visitors to feel cozy and at home while letting them experience the culture of Malaysia. Views are breath-taking. Rooms/Suites/Chalets are comfy and staff are friendly. This va cation spot is perfect for relaxing and to experience the simple life we no longer live in.

TA-DA! That’s my review! Take it or leave it. That is pure honesty!

Chipmuckanisation

Woah!. Ever since the chipmuck move came out last year, everyone is Chipmuck crazy. I am a big fan of those three adorable critters ( Simon  is my favorite).

Songs are turning chipmucked style or chipmuckanisation. Songs are both cute and meaningful and this might lead to the music of the future.  Imagine all the stars have to suck in helium before recording or going on stage,. LOL. What a sight that would be.

Education and vacations

Hello,

I’m going to be typical me and make a big fuss about the fact that my parents have decided to take me on a surprise holiday this late in our June holidays (school starts on monday for all those who didn’t know). I am unbelievably happy that we are going. ( What? Fusses don’t nessecarily need to be bad!) I need time to relax before going back to school.

Z and I were discussing about The education system in Singapore. You think life as an adult working in Singapore is hard, try being a student at a local secondary school ( close to high school standard). If you compare the States education system to ours, you might find major diffrences. We might be learning the same things but Singapore is going a step deeper into the topic.

Singapore goverment has made life difficult here. We do live in a harmonious environment and for that I am sure each and every Singaporean is grateful. However, the goverment has engraved into the minds of every one that education and a good job is the best way to have a wonderful life. Their main concern is educating the younger generation. A lot of pressure is put on education. In fact, the goverment has made primary school education compulsory to every child between the ages of 6 to 12. 6 years of basic school education, which if you ask me is perfectly fine. Everyone need to know the basics. Secondary school is just a stepping stone between the small gap of any education higher than secondary ( like Junior Collage, Ploytecnics and ITEs) and Primary education. It is just bracing teens for the ‘toughness’ for education at a higher level.

If you think about it, if they took away we would be entering universities at about the age of 16 or 17. Now that is what I call smart.
